Lane Craig Inspiration and the Freewill Defense Revisited
نویسنده
چکیده
The Christian Church has traditionally held that the inspiration of Holy Scripture is verbal, plenary, and confluent. But such an affirmation may seem to be incoherent. For if Scripture is the product of both divine and human free agency, then it seems impossible that God should have sufficient control of the various authors of Scripture so as to produce a Word that is verbally and plenarily his. A Molinist theory of divine middle knowledge can help us to break this deadlock and craft a doctrine of inspiration that is both orthodox and coherent. 24. For applications of middle knowledge to such issues as Christian exclusivism, divine sovereignty and human freedom, perseverance of the saints, infallibility, and creation/evolution see William Lane Craig, '"No Other Name": A Middle Knowledge Perspective on the Exclusivity of Salvation through Christ,' Faith and Philosophy 6 (1989), 172-188; idem, 'Middle Knowledge: a Calvinist-Arminian Rapprochement ?' in The Grace of God, the Will of M{ln, ed. A Semi-Analytical Method for History Matching and Improving Geological Models of Layered Reservoirs: CGM Analytical Method
History matching is used to constrain flow simulations and reduce uncertainty in forecasts. In this work, we revisited some fundamental engineering tools for predicting waterflooding behavior to better understand the flaws in our simulation and thus find some models which are more accurate with better matching. The Craig-Geffen-Morse (CGM) analytical method was used to predict recovery performa...
متن کاملIn Defense of Non-natural, Non-theistic Moral Realism
Many believe that objective morality requires a theistic foundation. I maintain that there are sui generis objective ethical facts that do not reduce to natural or supernatural facts. On my view, objective morality does not require an external foundation of any kind. After explaining my view, I defend it against a variety of objections posed by William Wainwright, William Lane Craig, and J. P. ...

In accordance with human necessities and deep attention into security, research studies have today became an irrefutable necessity in this area. It is noted that traditional concepts of this important issue have changed, as a result of occurring various events in the past, particularly in the 20th century; so that security is no more limited to protecting human beings against individual and col...
متن کاملThe self-control consequences of political ideology.
Evidence from three studies reveals a critical difference in self-control as a function of political ideology. Specifically, greater endorsement of political conservatism (versus liberalism) was associated with greater attention regulation and task persistence. Moreover, this relationship is shown to stem from varying beliefs in freewill; specifically, the association between political ideology...
متن کاملRandom convex bodies lacking symmetric projections, revisited through decoupling
In 2001, E.D. Gluskin, A.E. Litvak and N. Tomczak-Jaegermann, using probabilistic methods inspired by some earlier work of Gluskin’s, provided an example of a convex body K ⊂ R such that no suitably large rank projection of K is symmetric. We provide an alternate proof of the existence of such a body, the key ingredient of which is a decoupling result due to S.J. Szarek and Tomczak-Jaegermann.
